“Am I home? What is home?”
This work explores the complex feeling of homesickness — the longing for something both familiar and lost. Through movement, I wanted to capture what “homesickness” feels like in the body: the comfort, the absence, the restlessness. Inspired by the idea that home can be found anywhere if you are content with yourself, the piece questions whether homesickness comes from place or from within. Sometimes, I realise it isn’t the place I miss, but the moments that once happened there.
— Maria Lippus
