Sininen hetki

This past Sunday Lara Kattilakoski and Jenni Tikkaoja from Balettakademien came out to Näsbypark for a dance photoshoot. We started indoors in the Green Room, shooting with natural light. Then for the second part we headed outdoors.

There was a thick cold mist hanging in the air, which meant that objects further away would fade into the distance. So to make the most of it we headed into a wooded area.

Jenni Tikkaoja. Framing Jenni with the trees, the background fading into the mist helps create depth to the picture.

Jenni Tikkaoja. Without the snow on the rocks it could have been just any misty summer day, but it was not.

Lara Kattilakoski. The ice on the water creates a beautiful texture that we saw on our way back. Lara had already been in the water once, but when we saw this she decided a second round was warranted.
