I just got home from photographing the dress rehearsal for Blink, which is the Corpus Playroom main show this week. Featuring Joe Pitts and Dolores Carbonari, and directed by Amy Malone with help from Ellen McGrath, it tells the tale of Jonah and Sophie, who are connected in a very unorthodox way.
“If you ever get invited to dissect a rabbit’s eyeball while at the same time taking apart an old-fashioned Single Lens Reflex camera, accept the invitation.”
“With these two feelings of shame and delight once again doing battle, I observe this girl in her home. And I’m positive she doesn’t know she’s being watched, but that only makes it worse somehow.”
“I decide that God has no strong opinion on the matter either way and limit myself to a quick look, every two hours at first.”
“This soon becomes one long look that last the whole day. And soon, though I don’t know who or where she is, I feel closer to her than I ever felt to any other living soul.”
“We have a programme we watch at five-thirty on weekdays. It’s a drama programme with characters of all ages, but we like the young ones best.”
