My brother Jonathan and his family recently bought a new house with a stable for their horses. Me and my other brother Josef and his family went there to visit them and celebrate Jonathan’s birthday. They live in Småland, home of Astrid Lindgren and IKEA. Here are a few photos from the past weekend.
I asked my niece to stand in front of the window. There was a big wasp that she eyed. Unfortunately I did not manage to capture the wasp in the photo, and the entire picture felt empty, so I added Tinker Bell in the corner.A bit of shadow boxing. This photo is a composite of two photos. I used the darkening blending mode, and a layer mask to create this effect. It was a beautiful sunset outside but we were inside the stable playing. The big sister has a lot of ideas, but can be a bit bossy. Little sister is not cooperating any more.Returning outside, we still had some light to play with.A pool or a moat? A moment of alone time.Music brings joy to the people.Sandra and the oldest. They opened up the fence, so that the horse Trula could come up on the lawn to help cut the grass.Caramella, the four-month-old kitten is a great climber. She might look like a tiger, but she is really cuddly..They have their own bees in the garden....Jonathan is at it again. This looks like something from Pippi Långstrump....My first nephew. Photo by Jonathan.A speech for the birthday boy..Family teamwork.Summer games in the garden.Josef is crazy good at this.A piece of cake!Jonathan enjoying a bit of quiet time.A few hours before it was time to head back we decided to do a few Disney photos. Here Elsa from Frozen. There is a window to the right and one behind her that provide the lighting.Young Elsa. This photo is lit by a window to the left, and a flash that Sandra was holding approximately where the floating snowball is.Rapunzel from Tangled.
A little glimpse from my brother’s birthday. It was a lot of fun to see them all again. Grattis på födelsedagen brorsan!
