A vida é um sopro

Last Wednesday Ray Farias and I did a photoshoot in Näsbypark in the evening after work a couple of weeks ago. We had a really fun time improvising and creating together. Ray has a lot of dance experience and you can follow her journey both on Instagram and Youtube. We started with a session in the Green Room, with the darker walls we got a moody and dramatic look, then for the second part we headed outdoors for some photos by the water.

I’ve been dancing since I was 5 years old and I became a professional dancer educated in Jazz and Contemporary throughout the 12 years I’ve spent on Juliana Carletto Dance Co in my home town Curitiba-Brazil. My specialty is Heels and Commercial dance.

In 2020, due to the pandemic I decided to come and live in Sweden with my boyfriend, and I had to make the hardest choice of my career, which was to leave my dance company that I’ve been choreographing for over 10 years (FB Dance Co) and just manage them from a distance. But nowadays they are still going strong and rehearsing, and every time I’m in Brazil I have the most engaged dancers to come home to!

I’ve been working as a dancer and choreographer in many Productions, Cruise Ships, Magic Shows and Circuses all over the world and in Sweden I’ve been teaching in many schools (Balettakademien, SDA, Uppsala Danscenter, etc) and I’m a member of the Stockholm Higheelers.

Many thanks to Ray for a fun photoshoot!
