Alba Forma

This weekend’s photoshoot was something special, a combination of dance and fashion. We had a beautiful collection from Linn Kristina Design by Linn Hermander that were custom made for this photoshoot. Her speciality is clothes in white, where she focuses on form and texture avoiding distractions by colours. With us were also the dancers, Heidi Salminen from the Royal Swedish Ballet, and Sarah Plate Ellis, from Balettakademien.

The Movement Collection

A collection solely inspired by the movement of a body with pieces either following the body, mimicking the body or showing the body. Created to enhance the motions and get life from dance.

We started indoors for the first part of the photoshoot. You could feel the excitement this morning, there was something special to have a new collection of clothes made specially for the dancers.

Sarah Plate Ellis wearing “The pull away top” and “The asymetrical skirt” created by Linn Hermander. Photographed in natural window light, it was a bit cloudy, but bright enough to illuminate the different layers of fabric in the dress.
Heidi Salminen wearing “The long sleeve top” and “The fly away pants” by Linn Hermander. I really loved the long sleeves, which gave us so many creative options.

Heidi Salminen wearing “The body” and “The lightness skirt” created by Linn Hermander. We decided to add some feathers also into this photo. Linn is standing on a chair just out of frame on the right with her fists full of feathers.

After a late lunch we decided to head outside to Viggbyholm to take advantage of the clear blue skies and the magic of the golden hour. It was quite cold so we set a timer on the mobiles to not be tempted to shoot for too long. The week before, and now the week after we had and snow and cloudy skies, but just this weekend we were lucky and had cloud free skies.
