This past Wednesday I had lunch with my friend Johan Nordström and his wife Aya who were in Sweden visiting relatives together with their 18-month-old son Simon. Aya paints beautifully, and we talked about doing a photoshoot, combining her painting, dancers and photography. They had a busy schedule, and the only day that worked was on Thursday, the day after. Despite the short notice we managed to arrange a photoshoot after work the following day, together with Kentaro Mitsumori from the Royal Swedish Ballet and Linnéa Hult from Balettakademien.

体の上にペイントするのは初めてでしたが、スウェーデンの静かに広がる自然とダンサー達の肉体からインスピレーションを受け取り描き進めることが出来ました。
死と再生の象徴である鹿の角と、一年を通じて輪廻する樹木のイメージを重ねましたが、それが肉体の躍動感の渦と一体となり、力強い美しさを見ることが出来ました。
