The IBAGS conference was held in Biarritz this year, just by the La Grande Plage. Before the conference I asked around among some dance friends to see if they knew anyone in Biarritz that might want to do a photoshoot. A big thank you to Teresa for putting me in touch with Fanny Bonnin, Margot Castro-Ciganda and Eline Larrory. The conference had a break in the afternoon on Wednesday with social activities planned, I skipped those in favour of ballet photoshoot among the waves.
Eline Larrory. Earlier in the week I had walked along the beach and found this spot by Hôtel du Palais. It was a set of alcoves which allowed a bit of control of the light. I had originally planned to include the pillars for framing, but felt that the pose was more prominent without them.Margot Castro-CigandaMargot. The Atlantic waves make for a beautiful background, so we went a bit closer to the water.ElineFannyMargot. Some waves were bigger than others, but we had the foresight to remove all shoes before we tried this.ElineEline. A quick change of outfits.Eline Larrory at La Grande Plage. This is probably my favourite photo from the photoshoot.ElineFanny Bonnin flying over the sand dunes.Margot. When shooting at a location like the one above it is always a good idea to turn around and see what it looks like from the other side. With the sun coming out of the cloud cover for a bit, it was great to shoot from the sunny side.ElineEline, Margot and FannyA quick group photoElineFannyMargot Castro-CigandaFanny, Eline and Margot.
Final photo before it was time to call it a day. I had to head back to the hotel and get ready for the conference dinner at the Biarritz marketplace. A big thank you to Fanny, Margot and Eline for a fun ballet photoshoot!
