This past Thursday Tevin “inte Kevin” Redvall and Sanna Violeta Fuenzalida Ribbing came out to Näsbypark for a dance photoshoot. It is always great fun to photograph with creative people filled with ideas, and this photoshoot had plenty of crazy ideas.
Our first concept was to try to get the dancers to stand on the water, by hiding a small stool just under the surface. I have used the stool before but never on a beach, and the thin legs kept burying themselves in the fine sand, sending the dancers into the water. But they did not give up, and eventually we realised that a bit further out the bottom was more solid.
For the last few photos I asked Tevin to tell us a story with his dance, and it was interesting to see how the posing transformed into dancing and storytelling. The movements suddenly felt like they had a purpose and held more meaning.
Next we headed back to my apartment, for some lunch and then a second session in the Green Room. I am on vacation, but had to take a short work meeting, and while they waited they came up with some creative uses for my old chair.
I also showed them the wooden frames, and then this happened…
There were some feathers lying around in the room from my previous photoshoot, so we decided to do a last series of photos with them.
Many thanks to Tevin and Sanna for a really creative photoshoot!
