Moments of Grace

This past weekend Lucinda Rosell from the Royal Swedish Ballet School and Felicia Hedman who trained as a circus performer joined me for a dance photoshoot out in the archipelago. We headed to Björkviks havsbad which is reachable by buss from Slussen. The weather had been a bit rainy for a few days, but it cleared up in time for our photoshoot.

Lucinda Rosell. A stone throw away from where the bus dropped us off are some cliffs with a large little natural pool which is perfect for reflections.

Felicia Hedman. There is a dead tree a bit down the coast, which is fun to climb and photograph in.

Felicia and Lucinda. When photographing in direct harsh sunlight it can be good to have a reflector to avoid too strong shadows.
Lucinda Rosell. One of my favourite photos from the day. We were playing around with different shapes and poses and Lucinda came up with this.

Felicia Hedman. Notice the wave hitting the stones in the background. I like how the shape matches Felicia’s arch.

Lucinda Rosell. All the photos were shot with a 35 mm f/1.4 Sigma ART lens, which is not really a portrait lens, but if you keep your subject in the centre you can avoid most of the distortion.
