“Aurinko paistaa ja vettä sataa, taitaa tulla kesä.” It is an old Finnish saying that translates to “The sun is shinining and it is raining, summer is coming.” It is very fitting for Scandinavian spring and early summer. This week Alicia Wegmüller and Emmi Mikkola were visting Stockholm, and we took the opportunity to do a photoshoot together yesterday morning. It was great fun to photograph with them again. It was raining a bit during the photoshoot, so summer must be just around the corner now.
For this photoshoot I brought my 85mm tilt-shift lens, which allows me to shift the focusing plane, making part of the dancers blurry. I covered it with a plastic bag to protect it against the rain.
Alicia and Emmi filmed some great behind the scenes material, which I hope to put together into a little video. We also had a short guest appearance by my mom who came by with some medical supplies, in what we referred to as “Stockholm blodbad”. Gravel, rain and fast sweeping feet motions is not an optimal combination. For the second part we switched location, to the rooftop terrace at KTH.

Many thanks to Alicia and Emmi for a fun photoshoot!
