Earlier this week I did an evening photoshoot with Emilia Fridholm and her brother David Fridholm. We photographed in the green room, throughout the golden hour, and a bit past sunset.

I decided to edit some of these in black and white as it made them look a bit more dramatic.David FridholmDavid FridholmDavid FridholmEmilia FridholmEmilia Fridholm, you can see that the light is a bit softer in these photos compared to the first two. We had placed a plastic sheet over the window to diffuse the light a bit.David FridholmEmilia Fridholm and David Fridholm. Photographing siblings is a lot of fun, because you have a natural dynamic that you can play around with in the photos.Emilia Fridholm and David FridholmEmilia Fridholm and David FridholmEmilia Fridholm and David FridholmEmilia Fridholm and David FridholmDavid Fridholm and Emilia FridholmDavid FridholmEmilia FridholmEmilia Fridholm. A quick change of outfits, as the sun was about to set.Emilia FridholmEmilia Fridholm. We brought out the fairy lights, which is a creative tool allowing you to both bring out a mood, and as you can see later some special effects.David Fridholm. This is all done in camera, no photoshop needed to get that floating ball of light. Can you figure out how we did it?Emilia FridholmEmilia Fridholm. Some long exposures with the fairy lights.David FridholmEmilia Fridholm. For this last part we lit the scenes with a mobile phone, which just proves that you do not need a lot of expensive lighting. One good thing with the mobile lights is that you directly see what you have to work with, whereas a speedlight you have to fire it to see where the shadows will fall.Emilia FridholmEmilia FridholmDavid Fridholm
Many thanks to Emilia and David for a fun photoshoot!
