Varsity Halloween fashion

Halloween is just around the corner, earlier this week I met up with Meg Honigmann, Hannah May Parlett, Alice Blow and Grace Ding to do a fashion photoshoot at St John’s College. Meg and Hannah had found a nice selection of clothes and props for us to use.

To provide a better frame for Grace we decided to photograph through the window. Here the photo has been desaturated but for her eyes and lips.

For most of the photos we only used one flash with a snoot on to restrict the light to a narrow cone.

Grace back at the window. Her hands have now been painted white, so no need to desaturate the photo. I feel the first photo was stronger though.

Here we were shooting the flash through a dress with holes in it which gives the patterns on the wall. The picture is overexposed which makes the black lips and red blood stand out more.

We then moved outside to do a few more photos. Here we are cross lighting Alice which also lights up the wall behind her.
