This past Saturday Jennifer Wallén and Naomi Kats met up with me at Tranebergsbron for a dance photoshoot. They have had a busy week with preparations as they were about to travel Östersund for a residence there together with the dance company IlDance, but we managed to find a few hours in their busy schedule.
A few mornings after Saturdays photoshoot we were discussing about the final pictures and what they have in common. It is hard to express the feeling we get from the pictures, but there is a specific feeling. We will try to explain:

Softness. Thickness. Motion. Concrete. Black. Grey. White. Dissonance. The musicality of the human being that meets the stability of the material. We coexist together in this atmosphere. The environment is concrete, not so changing in itself, however the simplicity of our human presence brings out something else than the standard defaults of the environment and we together become more alive. This brought us to the name ”In between grey”.
