Loved ones around us are touched by cancer in various forms. The Cambridge Pink Week seeks to raise awareness for breast cancer and to collect money for research and care. Emma Walsh and I teamed up to do a photoshoot to promote the pink week sports bra. With us were Kate Hair, Juliana Reed, Kristjana Çaka and Julie Wise. We met up at St John’s College who had given us permission to photograph on their grounds.
Pink Week was started at Clare College in 2014 by Nina Rauch. The first year it raised £1960 and since it has exponentially grown. Our 4th Cambridge Pink Week drew to a close and have surpassed last year’s total of £24,000 by a considerable margin! In addition to the 63 events put on in Cambridge during the week, we have collaborated with popular sportswear brand DBA to produce Pink Week sports bras. The company is generously donating 40% of every bra price to the Pink Week charities, which are: Breast Cancer Care, Hello Beautiful Foundation, Breast Cancer Now, Teens Unite, The Haven, Victoria’s Promise and Coppafeel.
We want to extend our warmest thanks to DBA Sports, a favourite among many international athletes, for collaborating with us in this endeavour.
