Yesterday I went to Fulbourn to photograph St John’s Players’ production of Night Watch by Lucille Fletcher. The play is directed by David Morris and produced by Kieron Toner. It tells the story of Elaine Wheeler who during a thunderstorm sees a dead man in the window of a nearby building, this sets of a chain reaction of events where her mental health is put in question. The theatre play was remade into a movie in 1973 with Elizabeth Taylor in the main role (Wikipedia).
Elaine has just seen a dead man in the window, her husband has a look, but the man is already gone. They had placed a LED lamp that could change colours behind the window, providing an atmospheric blue tone. Even though none of their faces are directly visible in this photo it serves to introduce Zuzana’s character.
