The Universe in Me

Cecilia Liu and Therese Larsson are both expecting their first child in the next few weeks, so after a bit of planning we finally arranged for a pregnancy dance photoshoot at Björkviks havsbad. We met up after work at Hornstull and drove to the location. The sunlight was already turning orange when we arrived, so we quickly set up shop on the cliffs by the water and started photographing.

Cecilia Liu. There was a little rock a few meters out into the water where the waves kept crashing against, so Cecilia climbed out on it for a set of photos.

Cecilia Liu. We tried to time the pose to the waves.

Therese Larsson. There was a puddle of water a bit further out, so I lay down next to it in order to create a beautiful reflection.

Cecilia Liu. You might have noticed that I really like reflections, so we ended up staying at this particular spot for quite some time.

For the last part I switched to my vintage Nikon 135mm f/2.8 lens, which allows for soft backgrounds and beautiful bokeh. The sun was getting low in the sky and we were quickly losing light, but we managed to get a few more photos before it was time to pack up and head back.
