The Veiled Soul

The idea for this photoshoot started taking form already back in January. I had seen a few interesting photos by different photographers where they were using some frosted glass to create an interesting feel in the photos, so I pitched the idea to Linnéa Hult and we started talking about different idéas.

Turns out getting frosted glass was not all that cheap nor practical, but a potential substitute was an acrylic sheet covered in a frosted film. I took a trip to Arninge centrum to gather the supplies, and after a first failed attempt I got help from my neighbour Jenny to apply the film with as little dust, debris and air bubbles. It is a lot easier to do with two people, but it took a surprisingly long time.

This past Thursday Linnéa came out to Näsbypark for the photoshoot. We taped the acrylic sheet to a light stand to give it support, and positioned it by the window in the Green Room. Anything closer to the acrylic sheet would appear more defined, and further away it got more diffuse and faded away into a blur.

Many thanks to Linnéa for a really fun photoshoot!
