Recto et Verso

After months of planning we and several zoom meetings we finally did the first photoshoot for the dance psychology book that Sanna Nordin Bates is writing. She approached me last year about creating photographs to illustrate her new book. We got a group of talented dancers together at Balettakademien for a day of photographing.

We did both photos to illustrate concepts, but also more decorative photos. Here is a selection of the decorative photos of Felicia Andersson, Ahtayaw Ea, Karolina Holmqvist, William Lundberg, Daphne Mørk-Jensen and Lea Sjövall., some of which will be in the book. I will add a link to the book when it is published.

For those wondering about the blog post title, “recto” means “right” or “front”, and “verso” is “left” or “back”, so one translation is from the first page to the last page.
